I design a mail out gift card for previous customers and for a new list of customer from a data base that will be provide by profit point the print and marketing co. is amazing how they have all the information off everyone, you just tell them age rage, marital status, and income and they just give you the list... amazing.... right!!!

holidays

hi everyone on November 10 to the 14 i did not work because of a personal problem my baby went to emergency she got pneumonia but we are fine now the week from the 17 to 21 i work 2 days and we are sending letter to pre approved customers to get them a good discount to buy again and we are designing a special event for black Friday.

this week we finish the catalog and send it to the printer, they might used for the Houston chronicle as well, but later on probably next month. we are preparing ideas and brainstorming to Christmas ads we need to present some options next week of what we recommend to do this holiday.

catalog

now that we got the pictures we are designing some catalog pages to send in the news paper 1 st step was choosing the right pictures talk to the Houston chronicle to define the size and then start designing we haven't finish yet next week we will finish it and send it to an approval .

new catalog

this week i have take some picture of new furniture, and i received a new catalog from china and we need to scan the pictures fix some of them, the defects and delete some codes (item numbers) from the pictures (editing) and then add it to the Ez process pro software (the furniture software) and that's pretty much it.

Truck banner

las week from 10/06 - 10/010 we design and print the truck banner this was really something different, is in a different format and we need to design this with a bigger border for installing in the trucks

back to work

well, finally back to work, the week from ... 8 to 12 the design department was close , the week from 15 to 19 my department did not work because of the hurricane the week after the 22 to 26 the store was close with no energy and fixing the damages the store is at 45 south so you can imagine the damages. the week of 29 to October 3 I worked two days T - Th and we are planing in what to do to re open the sales , and specials and help all Galveston people. so we are just brain storming and re printing banners and sign that were destroyed because of the hurricane . So, that's were wee are right now...

Calendar Week

This image is the image that goes at the top of the calendar.

This week we get some samples from the calendar, make some corrections and with the right choose of pictures we did it. we will send this calendar, this month is for the store give away and we will print more on December to sent it by mail. the calendar was not really easy to do because i did it number by number and date by date and it took me a long time.

Flyer week

This week we finish the flyer (i did it myself with some guidelines from the graphic designer) and send it to the printer, here is the flyer...now I have to choose different photos for next week we are going to start working on a calendar , we are doing 2008 so we can give it away right now and save 2009 for December. I have never done a calendar before so this would be something different.

first week

My first week was really basic , i get to meet my supervisor and a co-worker, they show me the programs that they work with that is Photoshop and illustrator the most. they don't use fireworks but they tell me that i can use it if i want to, they show me the fonts that they use and the furniture that they sell they use most Pcs but i can bring my laptop if i fill more comfortable with mac. and finally they show me some previous work done in the furniture store like some ads in newspaper. i haven't done any particular design right now but my first assignment was to select fropm a folder of 50 to 60 pictures the best 10 because this week we are planing to do a flyer.
